They are used in places where regular container bolts have difficulty fitting, or in connection with increased security. To fulfil the requirements of ISO 17712 - March 2013, cable seals, wire seals, wire seals must include above 3 mm diameter. Below that thickness, cable breaks occur before 10KN force strength is reached.
In addition to tensile strength, cable seals have the great advantage of being flexible and adaptable to many different items, and the strongest types require special heavy-duty tools for removal.
